R\u00f6mer-Pfad &#8211; vom D\u00fcnsberg kommend, Richtung Vetzberg.<br>Er wurde 1962 von<strong> Kurt Kaut<\/strong>, dem damaligen Revierf\u00f6rster <br>und \u201eseinen\u201c Waldarbeitern <strong>Erhard Failing, Hugo, Helmut und Gustav Gerlach<\/strong> gepflanzt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jutta Failing machte uns auf einen Fehler im Nachnamen aufmerksam, den ich beim ersten Versuch die Tafeln zu entziffern gemacht hatte. Jetzt steht oben der richtige Familiennamen der drei Br\u00fcder, n\u00e4mlich Gerlach. Dankesch\u00f6n!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4hnliche B\u00e4ume sind am damaligen Wohnhaus von Kurt Kaut in der Nu\u00dfhecke 1 in Rodheim, oberhalb vom Familienbad. Sie sind von Weitem gut zu sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fellingshausen.bibibo.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20200405_175026-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Dieses Bild hat ein leeres Alt-Attribut. Der Dateiname ist 20200405_175026-576x1024.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Juni 2022 waren diese Schilder abmontiert. <br>Schon wieder ein Fall von Vandalismus; wirklich schlimm! <br><br>Doch dann sah ich im Juli zuf\u00e4llig einen Mann, der sich dort zu schaffen machte. Wilhelm I. von W\u00fcrttemberg war von den Mammutb\u00e4umen so begeistert, dass er 1864 f\u00fcr 90 US-Dollar Saatgut bestellte. 5000 keimten, 200 B\u00e4ume davon gibt es noch im S\u00fcdwesten. 35 stehen im Mammutbaumwald in der Stuttgarter Wilhelma. Sie sind damit 157 Jahre alt und sehr beeindruckend. Aber die ganze Wilhelma ist eine Reise wert!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wilhelma.de\/uploads\/tx_templavoila\/Mammutb%C3%A4ume.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption><strong>&#8222;Wilhelm I.&#8220;  besucht nach 150 Jahren seine Mammutb\u00e4ume <\/strong>(Copyright und Foto mit freundlicher Genehmigung der Wilhelma Stuttgart)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mammutb\u00e4ume sind die \u00e4ltesten, gr\u00f6\u00dften und m\u00e4chtigsten B\u00e4ume der Erdgeschichte. Jeder USA-Reisef\u00fchrer bildet den gr\u00f6\u00dften unter den Riesen ab: &#8222;General Sherman&#8220; wird der Baum genannt. Er ist circa 3200 Jahre alt und steht im Sequoia-Nationalpark in Kalifornien.
